I forgot again!!

I have a hard time trying to remember when to do things like sending out birthday cards, appointments, etc. if not right in front of me. Through my email program - Outlook - I can set up to have the computer remind me that I need to do something. It helped me tremendously when I was in physical therapy as I needed to do exercises at home 4 times a day. I would get busy doing something and forget otherwise.

I usually try to set it up with daily reminders if need be, weekly, monthly, etc. It can also help in reminding to call or email someone to check in for the extra special thought. You could set it up to remind you to clean certain things that only need to be cleaned every once in a while or remind to check smoke/carbon monoxide detector, filters, etc.

There are several free reminder services including Yahoo, Memo to Me, BirthdayAlarm.

What do you use to be reminded?

Good idea! I use a whiteboard for some things. If it's something I need to remember later in the day I set a timer.

I love Outlook! At first I thought, do I (as a SAHM) really need Outlook? YES. More than I ever did as an Administrative Assistant in my BC job (Before Children). With 5 peoples lives to plan out I couldn't make it through a week without it. Great tip to share! Blessings, Whitney

Oh, Sherry, I'm so glad that the "Do the Next Thing" poem encouraged you. I know it has encouraged me so much during the last few days.

And you've got a great idea with the e-mail reminders. I do mine through Google Calendar - same idea!

I always forget to take my afternoon "happy pill," so I've taken to setting the alarm on my cell phone. I've almost always got it on me, or nearby, so it usually works.

Thanks for the comment on my Flylady post!
